MERTEN & DESIGN

Convenient and elegant
Merten products embody the symbiosis of technology and design, whether they are switch ranges, movement
detectors or smoke detectors.

The Bed Side Panel reflects Merten's approach to innovative product design: form and function merge to form a single whole, making the Bed Side Panel an elegant control interface for all room functions, such as lighting and air conditioning.

BED SIDE PANEL

Awards:

iF product design award 2006
The iF design award has been a solid, well-known trademark of excellent design since its introduction in 1953. This year, 1,952 submissions from 37 countries were assessed over three days by the jury at the trade fair centre in Hanover.

Merten won two awards: one for the Bed Side Panel and one for the special ANTI-VANDALISM flush-mounted range.
red dot winner 2006

The red dot design award is one of the largest design competitions in the world. The red dot stands for much more than just a competition, however: it is also the trademark for the best in design and business. In 2006, the jury awarded the Bed Side Panel this coveted design prize.
Intelligente Architektur 2006

Awards are given to products with a particularly high architectural quality standard in a competition which receives regular acclaim from the architecture magazine AIT.
Nomination
for the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany 2007

This design prize is the official design award in the Federal Republic of Germany. No other design prize sets such strict criteria for participants. For this reason, many people refer to the Design Prize as the "Prize of all prizes".
