Romantic meals or a cosy evening in front of the television: Dimmers create the right atmosphere in no time at all. And this can be done in many different ways with Merten: by simple activation of a rotary dimmer, by lightly touching a sensor dimmer or, for maximum convenience, with Merten IR remote control. A special recommendation is given to the universal dimmer insert, which identifies the connected load automatically. Moreover, Merten dimmers are available for all design ranges.

Remote-controlled sensor dimmer The TELE sensor dimmer creates an extra level of convenience. It can be switched on or off by lightly touching the sensitive surface; the intensity of the light can be increased or decreased by prolonging the touch contact. An additional advantage: The last brightness setting is stored by the dimmer's memory function, which will then retrieve it automatically the next time the light is switched on. All of this can also be controlled very easily from your sofa, using the infrared remote control.
Sensor dimmer with radio receiver Sensor covers with radio receivers can be used for switching ohmic loads by inserting them directly onto an electronic switch insert. And if dimming and switching of ohmic or complex loads is required, sensor covers can be combined with universal super dimmer inserts. When combined with a relay switch insert, ohmic and complex loads such as incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, energy-saving lamps or LV halogen lighting can also be controlled.
Rotary dimmer for high loads The dimmer insert for ohmic loads with a two-way pressure-operated switch is suitable for incandescent lamps and 230 V halogen lamps up to 1000 VA.

First class dimming A dimmer that's got the lot: Easy to operate, multiple functions and a good memory. The convenient dial can do much more than just make the light brighter or darker. For example, the maximum brightness can be limited to 80% just at the touch of a key. Or your favourite brightness levels can be stored using a memory button. The comfort dial even helps you in the dark: With the discreet orientation light, that can also be deactivated when not needed.

With the new universal dimmer insert, it is possible for two different luminaires in one flush-mounted box to be dimmed independently of each other - ideal for retrofitting. Simply replace the existing two-circuit switch insert with a Universal dimmer insert, 2-gang, and the job is done.
You can connect luminaires of all load types, each with up to 200 Watts, on both channels.
