KNX ARGUS PRESENCE DETECTOR 180/2.2 M FM - GET A GRIP ON YOUR ENERGY EXPENDITURE
The KNX ARGUS Presence 180/2.2 m FM for wall/flush-mounting is used everywhere where ceiling mounting is impossible.
The KNX ARGUS Presence has 5 channels and 2 sensor ranges which can be assigned to different channels.
For example, if someone in the left-hand area of a room moves, the lighting will only come on in this part of the room. If movement is detected in the other areas, the entire room is lit up.
Thanks to the anti-crawl protection and a range of 8 m on either side and 12 m in front, no-one can get past it undetected. An added bonus of the higher mounting position: optimum protection against damage.
The distinctive feature of the presence detector function is the integrated sensor, which measures brightness continuously. This function is able to measure and evaluate changes in the external brightness (daylight) even when artificial lighting is switched on.
Even when people are present, the presence detector function switches off the lighting when the external brightness is sufficient (above the brightness threshold set) for working and safe use of the rooms without additional artificial lighting. This characteristic reduces energy consumption.
KNX DALI GATEWAY – IQ FOR YOUR BUILDING
Do your customers want to save energy or do they prefer light scenes that create a certain atmosphere? Then the KNX Dali gateway from Merten is the right product for you.
The DALI gateway connects the cross-function KNX installation bus to the DALI bus designed exclusively for lighting control. With this, cost-effective digital electronic ballasts (EBs) with DALI interfaces can be integrated into a complete KNX system as a subsystem and operated by the wide range of available KNX devices.
The gateway serves as the DALI master and power supply for the connected EBs (electronic ballasts). Up to a maximum of 64 EBs in a total of 16 groups can be switched, dimmed or set to a defined value.
In addition to the KNX and the DALI interfaces, the device has two passive inputs for directly connecting conventional push-buttons or movement detectors.
The device can be connected to an Ethernet network via the RJ 45 connection. The integrated web server allows quick and easy configuration using your default web browser. By adapting the layout, you can also configure the device using a PDA.
THE OSLO OPERA HOUSE – RESONANT DESIGN WITH MERTEN
Oslo's new opera house is majestically situated on the Bjørvika peninsula in the centre of the city, overlooking Oslo Fjord.
The interior of the new opera house in Oslo is completely fitted with the new ARTEC switch range from Merten. In the simple stainless steel design variation, the series is a perfect complement to the Snøhetta design office's functional, architectural concept.
The architects wanted to keep the complex building technology of the opera house as hidden as possible, so Merten products with KNX technology for controlling various building functions were installed the public areas and backstage. Multi-function push-buttons with room temperature control units guarantee that the heating is precisely time-controlled depending on the temperature required and the time of day.
Merten also provided the indoor movement detectors, ARGUS 180/2.2 m FM, for the architectural prestige project in Norway. The light sources switch on automatically according to need, remain off on days when the house is closed, and adapt to the daylight conditions of the fjord landscape.
