LET THERE BE POWER
During PASSAGEN 2008 at imm cologne and at Designparcours in Munich, Merten and HfG Karlsruhe presented the exhibition "Let there be power" (28.02.2008 – 09.03.2008).
What happens to the electricity that comes out of socket-outlets, what alternatives are there to conventional wall switches? Merten asked 16 students at HfG Karlsruhe this question.
THE EXHIBITION
Let there be power
Result: A pool of top-class ideas, bubbling with ceiling socket-outlets, tap-dimmers, children's switches, interactive LED luminaires or illuminated key holes. During the Designparcours, the resulting exhibit will amaze and inspire visitors to have a go at these unusual products/ideas.
"Merten distinguishes itself clearly from other manufacturers, not only with products alone but also with its promotion of young design talents, for whom a platform was made here." (PASSAGEN 2008 exhibition visitor statement).
